Inter Miami CF Makes Three Performance Staff Hires 

Inter Miami CF. announced today that he has hired Julian Haigh as Director of Sports Science, Tom Jobe as Director of Fitness and Rehabilitation and Silas Waszczuk as Sports Performance Specialist.

“We are excited to welcome Julian, Tom and Silas to Inter Miami, three great professionals who will help us continue to form a senior team. We believe they will all help put our players in the best position to succeed,” said Dawn Scott Performance Manager.

Haigh will lead daily physical training and match load monitoring and integrated support for World Sports Science for the First Team. She will report directly to director Scott Performance, who worked for the U.S. Women’s National Team.

She recently served as a U.S. Women’s National Team and NWSL Applied Sports Scientist beginning in November 2017. Haigh, a native of Boston, Massachusetts, also worked as a high-performance coach for the Boston Breakers in the NWSL from June 2016 to November 2017, First Team. Widnes Vikings assistant and manager of the English rugby Super League professional Widnes Vikings from October 2011 to June 2016, Liverpool Ladies FC strength and atmosphere coach from February 2014 to February 2015 and Sports Science Fellow at Everton. FC from July 2011 to May 2012. Haigh Liverpool is a graduate of John Moores University with a bachelor’s and master’s degree in sports and exercise sciences, and a USSF F Coaching degree.

Job’s responsibilities include providing integrated and customized monitoring and management plans for world-leading players to all First Team players; as well as directing and coordinating gym-based strength and conditioning programming and performance, as well as the final phase of the First Team Return Play session. Job has been a professional sportsman in the United States for over five years. Recently, Jobe was the Head of Strength and Conditioning at Los Angeles FC from January 2018 to December 2020, helping them win the 2019 MLS Supporters ’Shield and help them reach the 2020 Concacaf Champions League final. His previous experiences have included the Miami Dolphins Strength and Conditioning Assistant from April 2017 to January 2018, as well as from June 2015 to July 2016; Assistant Coach of Strength, Lindenwood University Football from July 2016 to April 2017 and Strength and Conditioning with the 49ers of San Francisco from June 2014 to September 2014.

Jobe Bachelor of Science in Human Performance and Science from Exercise Science at Lindenwood University. He is also a Jobe Strength and Adaptation Specialist Certificate, has a FMS Level 2 certificate and is certified for first aid. Jobe Scott will report on Performance Director.

Waszczuk will lead the management, planning and delivery of return-to-play protocols and physical training based on the First Team’s daily gym. He brings more than 20 years of experience in sports to the club, most notably Kaká’s personal physiotherapist, a legend in Brazilian football that began in 2010. At the time, he was a sports performance specialist and physical therapist at Orlando City SC starting in January. 2015 and Physiotherapy at AC Milan in Italy from August 2013 to December 2014.

Waszczuk’s many educational achievements include a degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Guarulhos and a Master’s in Physiotherapy from the University of São Paulo. He will report to the Director of Fitness and Rehabilitation, Jobe.
